The studio

A straight answer about your website, and what to do next.

8ward is a Las Vegas web design and development studio. Websites are most of what we do, and we help with branding and digital marketing when a business needs them.

Las Vegas, Nevada

  1. Think first.

Figure out what needs to happen before deciding what it should look like.

  2. Say what you do.

A visitor should know what you do and who it’s for within a few seconds. Clever can come second.

  3. Make it useful.

Design still has a job to do. If a page looks good and nobody gets in touch, it isn’t working.

Someone has to look at all of it.

A lot of owners come to us because something feels off and they can’t say what. Usually each piece was handled by someone different at a different time, and nobody has looked at how it all fits together.

So before we suggest anything, we look at the business the way a new customer would. If the website is the problem, we’ll tell you. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.

We keep the studio small, so there’s no account manager in the middle.

The people who hear your situation on the first call write the scope, then design and build it. What you tell us doesn’t have to survive a handoff. Specialists join when the work calls for them.

How a project runs

01 · Listen

We learn the business before we touch the website. Usually one long conversation, then a written summary you can correct before anything else happens.

02 · Scope

We agree in writing what the site should say and which pages it needs before design starts, so taste debates don’t derail the build later.

03 · Design

You see every key page as a real design before anything is built. Nothing goes to code on a hunch.

04 · Build

The people who designed it build it, so it matches what you approved. It’s made to load quickly and work well on a phone, with the SEO basics in place.

05 · Launch

We test on real devices and set up redirects, analytics and indexing before launch, so old links keep working and search engines can find the new pages.

06 · Aftercare

After launch, we can look after the site and keep improving it based on what the analytics show, or hand it over with everything documented.

Some projects suit us better than others.

It saves us both time to say this upfront, so if the first list sounds like you, we should talk.

Probably a fit

  • Your site is out of date, or you built it yourself
  • People find the site, but few of them get in touch
  • You can tell us what the business needs to happen

Probably not

  • You need the cheapest possible version, fast
  • You want a builder who won’t question the plan
  • You need someone to manage your social media daily

Let’s talk about your website.

It’s fine if all you know is that something’s off.
