Privacy Policy
8ward Marketing is a web design, brand and digital marketing studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. This policy explains what information we collect through 8wardmarketing.com and in the course of our work, how we use it, and the choices you have. There is no login and no account on the site.
Information we collect
Most of what we hold is what you chose to tell us. The enquiry form on our contact page asks for your name, your email address, your company or business name, your current website, what you are looking for, and whatever you want to put in the message. Anything you add later, by email or in conversation, becomes part of the same record.
Some information is collected automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, the browser and device you are using, the pages you view and the time of your visit. Your message also carries the page you sent it from and, where your browser reports it, the site you arrived from.
How we use information
- To read your enquiry and reply to it.
- To work out what your project needs and put a proposal together.
- To do the work you hired us for, and to keep in touch with you while we do it.
- To keep ordinary business records, such as invoices and a record of what was agreed.
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use what we collect to advertise to you. You will hear from us about your enquiry, and about the work we are doing for you. There is no customer database behind this website: an enquiry reaches us as an email, and that email is the record we keep.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how the site performs and to improve the site and our marketing. It tells us which pages people read, where traffic came from, general device and browser information, and general patterns of use.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies to do that. We set none of our own, and your browser settings are where you turn cookies off.
Client information
When you become a client we usually receive more than an enquiry. Depending on the work, that can include business information, content and files, access to your website, hosting or analytics, credentials we need to do the job, and marketing information about your campaigns. We use it to deliver the services you contracted for and for ordinary business purposes such as billing and support. We do not sell client data.
How information may be shared
We share information with trusted service providers only where it is reasonably necessary to run the website, communicate with you, handle invoicing and payment, host websites and deliver client work. By category, that means website hosting, email, analytics, invoicing and payment, and the technology providers we use to deliver client work. Each of them handles information under its own terms.
We may also share information where the law requires it, where we receive a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to protect our legal rights.
8ward Marketing does not sell personal information or client data. We do not give it to advertisers or data brokers.
You cannot pay through this website. There is no checkout and no card form on any page, and we do not collect card or bank details here. Client invoicing and payment happen outside the site and may run through a third-party invoicing or payment provider, which handles payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. The site is served over a secure connection, access to client accounts and credentials is limited to the people who need it, and we keep only what we have a reason to keep. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot promise information will never be seen by someone who should not see it. Please don’t send passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers or health information through the enquiry form.
Your choices
You decide how much to tell us, and you can choose to send us nothing at all. Beyond that:
- Ask what information we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it where it is appropriate for us to do so.
- Control analytics cookies through your browser settings or Google’s own opt-out tools.
One address for all of it: info@8wardmarketing.com. Residents of some states have additional privacy rights, and the same address is the way to ask us about those. We may need to keep some records, such as invoices and signed agreements.
Third-party websites and services
Our portfolio links to websites we have built for clients. Once you are on another company’s site, that company’s privacy policy applies instead of ours, and we do not control what it collects.
This policy also does not cover the websites we build. Those belong to our clients, and each client’s own privacy policy applies to visitors there.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update the dates at the top. If a change is significant we will say what changed rather than quietly reissuing the page.
